In the workshops of more than half a million Australians, and in many tens of thousands of shops around the world, you will find woodworking equipment in a distinctive bright orange - the hallmark of Triton Manufacturing and Design Pty. Ltd., Australia.
Triton has been designing and manufacturing high quality workshop equipment since 1976. Where Triton is today is the result of ongoing innovation. The company's philosophy that "the Triton owner comes first" is also very much a part of its success. Triton founder, George Lewin, inventor of the award-winning Triton Workcentre, always believed that you must listen to your customers and always put them first. He attributes the success of the Triton Workcentre, the flagship of the Triton line, and all other Triton products largely to the fact that the Company has always listened eagerly to constructive comments from Triton owners and where appropriate their feedback has found its way into design and production improvements.
The Triton product range has expanded over the years and now provides a complete woodworking system: the multi award-winning Series 2000 Workcentre, Workcentre Accessories, Router/Jigsaw Table, Biscuit Joiner System, Finger Jointer System, Superjaws Workbench, Multi-Stand, 9-1/4 inch Precision Power Saw and, most recently, the introduction of Triton's revolutionary new 3-1/4 HP Precision Router - a true example of the company's customer-focused philosophy, where customer feedback plays a huge part in the design and development process.
Triton designs and manufactures the vast majority of its products at its manufacturing plant in Melbourne, Australia. The operation houses highly automated equipment including robotic welders, automatic cutting and drilling machines and a continuous epoxy powdercoating system. Almost all of the materials and components are proudly Australian made to the highest international quality standards.
The Company has a program of continuous product improvement, and has been granted formal quality accreditation under Australian and international standards AS/ISO9001. Future Innovation is part of the Company's mission statement. Existing products will continue to evolve and improve, and new and exciting products will be added to the range. Dust extraction, featured on the new Biscuit Joiner and the Router/Jigsaw Table has been developed for the Workcentre so you can work in a cleaner and healthier environment.
Another issue, which is receiving even more attention, is safety. The company has placed a very strong emphasis on safety guarding, and is continually developing new ways to further protect you from potential accidents.
The Triton Workcentre, Compact Saw Table, Superjaws and their major accessory products are warranted to be free from factory faults in workmanship or materials for a period of three years from date of purchase. The Triton 9-1/4 inch Precision Power Saw, 3-1/4 HP Precision Router and all other products are warranted for a period of one year. This warranty does not extend to damage as a result of accident or abuse, or fair wear and tear. Detailed warranty provisions accompany all major products.
