2. The depth stop rod is not fully retracted. Loosen the depth stop lock and retract the depth stop fully, then re-tighten.
Question: Why can't I refit the Plunge Spring?
Answer: Is the router locked at the top of its' plunge travel (base is furthest away from the motor)?
During operation without the plunge spring fitted the rod inside the plunge cap may have dropped into the spring housing. With the plunge cap removed turn the router upside down to retrive the rod. Insert the spring then refit the rod and cap.
Question: Why can't I retract the shutter and turn the Router on?
Answer: Ensure that the router is disengaged from its' collet lock (full depth) position.
